H2-Trainer Junior
The H2-Trainer junior is an experiment system with components on the subject "Hydrogen as an Energy Source". It is suitable for lessons in schools (secondary and comprehensive schools, grammar schools, vocational training schools) and for demonstration purposes. The scope of the experiment materials allows the performance of experiments on the electrolytic production of hydrogen from water and for obtaining energy using PEM fuel cells.
- Clearly laid-out storage of the materials in a special case, always fully to hand, no additional material necessary
- High-quality modules
- Fast setting-up and dismantling of the experiments
- Modularly structured experiments, can be inserted into the lesson as required
- Easy-to-understand experiment instructions and solutions with background information for teachers
Hydrogen technology becomes particularly interesting when regenerative energies are used for the production of the hydrogen. The H2-Trainer junior offers many different possibilities in this respect in combination with the Solartrainer junior or the Windtrainer junior, in the form of experiments or demonstration models.
Experiments
The following experiments can be carried out with the scope of supply
- Measuring of the volume ratio of the gases produced
- Measuring of the quantities of gas produced per time unit depending on the current
- Determining the energy and Faraday efficiency of the electrolyser (see sample exercise below)
- Determining of the U/I characteristic line of the electrolyser
- Determining the energy and Faraday efficiency of the fuel cell
- Determining the U/I characteristic line of the fuel cell
- Setting up an isolated network
- In combination with the Solartrainer junior: operation of the electrolyser with solar cells
- In combination with the Windtrainer junior: operation of the electrolyser with a wind energy converter
- In combination with the Solartrainer junior and the Windtrainer junior: operation of the electrolyser with solar cells and a wind energy converter as a hybrid system
