There are 3 versions of the hydraulics and 2 versions of the electro-hydraulics (inc. proportional hydraulics) training hardware, as depicted on the Mechatronics website. For full details click here. 

With the laboratory trolley the circuit building panel is 1100mm wide x 700mm high, with the portable (suitcase) the panel is 700mm wide x 550mm high and with the tutor kit (briefcase) the panel is 490mm wide x 360mm high.

The laboratory trolley system is ideal for centres that want dedicated training rooms for hydraulics and electro-hydraulics, while the portable system is designed for trainers on the move offering ‘on-site’ training, or those centres who want to store equipment when not in use. Tutor kit systems are intended for lower level training and are ideal for schools (key stage 3 / 4) and the 14 -19 initiative.

The laboratory trolley and portable systems use exactly the same plug-in baseplate mounted components, which can be used on both systems for cost effectiveness.

Other hydraulics trainers are available from LJ Create. To help teachers and students understand the practical applications and theories behind hydraulics we have created a complete instructional module that provides both real hands-on hardware in the form of our ST280 Hydraulics Trainer and a unique software simulation of hydraulic systems. This enables a whole class to carry out activities in the same topic areas at the same time.
