Feedback Robotics Arms

The Mentor from Feedback is a stand-alone bench-top robot ideal for studying the principles behind ‘Robotics’ with a requirement for knowledge of electronics, mechanics and software engineering.

The Mentor is an anthropomorphic robot, having six degrees of freedom including the gripper. dc motors drive the main axes, each axis position being controlled through the use of a closed loop control system, and the axes collectively define the position of the gripper in space. The in-built individual axis controllers constantly monitor the gripper position and hold the position until a new move command is received. This articulated arm is similar to the human arm and is widely used in industry.

he Cyber Mill and Cyber Lathe is a miniature bench-top machine-tool trainer which is operated from a personal computer and provides an excellent and economical introduction to ISO format programming using industry-standard G and M codes.

It is possible to design, manufacture, document and program a custom work-cell to match your exact requirements. Using any combination of equipment, a programmed, bench-mounted system can be supplied to demonstrate a fully automated series of manufacturing processes. All Demonstration Benches are supplied with an industrial controller, programmed and ready to run.

LJ Create Automated Work-cell

Students use a computer-controlled robot to design an automated work-cell. The advantages and limitations of robots will be explored as students progress to design their own control programs using a robotic system simulator that can be connected to the real hardware. In a similar manner to other modules, the robotics system may be integrated into a range of extended student design and build projects.
