There are 3 levels at which IMEX can implement the Interactive Whiteboard
technology. In any case, IMEX provides a simple upgrade path to go from
one level to the next or when new technology and applications are required
with your changing needs..
• Level 1 (no interactivity)The simplest
approach is to connect a data projector to a personal computer and project
the image on to a flat surface such as a screen or wall. IMEX makes the
system easy to use by ceiling mounting the projector and bringing all
the cables back to a docking station into which the PC, video etc. connects.
The distance between the projector and the screen determines the size
of image. So to produce and image compatible with future enhancement requires
the projector to be 3.5 metres from the screen.
• Level 2 (remote PC control)The initial
system can be enhanced to provide remote control of the PC by means of
a Bluetooth (digital radio connected) school pad.
This enables all of the PC’s software to be accessed at up to 12
metre distance. The presenter is no longer constrained to being beside
his computer. He can use the school pad to interact with the audience.
The pad also comes with Interwrite software tools.
• Level 3 (complete interactivity)The initial system
can be enhanced to provide a fully interactive system via either the Bluetooth
pad or a Bluetooth Interactive White board. Over 100 such systems were
installed in local schools, including one in System room 1 of the Centre.
The bundled cost of the fully Interactive System (level 3) has significant
price advantages over buying the individual pieces. IMEX has every solution
to meet your every need. In the case of the level 2 and 3 systems implementing
the latest new technology, IMEX ensures that training and demonstrations
allow you to get the best from the system no matter what your background.
